Duties & Responsibilities
Providing technical support in the development, implementation and monitoring of integrated management systems and standard operating procedures.
Ensure that tasks related to SOPs & checklists are adhered to at all times.
Ensure that proper documentation is used, applicable to the task at hand.
Assist line manager with major and minor projects to be detailed in objectives and development plan.
Compile monthly or quarterly reports as stipulated by the line manager.
Ensure adherence to all company health & safety practices and procedures.
Focus areas include but are not limited to: blasting, mining, production, environmental investigation, continuous innovation projects, interpretation of results and accounting from ROM to final product.
Full SAP Administration. Capturing data such as mining tons, overburden tons, diesel consumption, mass balances and despatches
Assist in operational management focussing on the mining and screening process, as well as dispatch
Production debottlenecking and trouble shooting to ensure efficiency and productivity at all times.
Update scheduling of production (monthly) according to the market demand/despatch
Ensure, on a daily basis, the production and despatch control of all operations comply with demand and budget requirements
Rehabilitation plans and as per the approved environmental management programme.
Take part in the continuous improvement actions of the company in terms of quality, services and processes.
Conducting and compiling routine environmental compliance inspections and audits against authorizations, guidelines and legislations, and creating action plans for addressing areas of non-compliance.
Conducting environmental incident investigations and recommending mitigation and corrective measures.
Coordinating environmental monitoring programs and ensuring records are captured on the environmental database.
Developing and conducting environmental communications, education,training and awareness programs.
