Become a Western Cape-based refrigeration artisan and further your career in the manufacturing sector
You will play a crucial part in running and maintaining cold storage facilities and refrigeration plants to guarantee maximum effectiveness and security. Regular inspections, repairs, troubleshooting, and management of the CMMS system for maintenance records and spare parts inventory will fall under your purview. Maintaining operational excellence and adhering to food safety regulations will depend heavily on your knowledge of electrical controls, refrigeration systems, and cold storage operations.
Candidate Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have a Grade 12, N3 Engineering qualification, a Red Seal trade test (Electrical, Millwright, Fitter and Turner, or Refrigeration), and preferably CAT B8 Ammonia registration. Forklift and tractor operator certificates are advantageous. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in medium to large production facilities, ideally in refrigeration, is required.
