Our Randburg-based client is searching for a Hazchem Code 10 Truck Driver who can safely transport hazardous chemicals and materials while operating medium-heavy vehicles with a Code 10 license.

Obligations and Duties

Principal Duties

Use a Code 10 vehicle to transport and retrieve hazardous materials.

Transport chemicals in compliance with safety and Hazchem regulations.

Perform vehicle inspections both before and after the trip.

Make sure hazardous materials are loaded, secured, and unloaded correctly.

Keep accurate logbooks and delivery documentation.

Observe the specified routes and delivery times.

Respond to spills and accidents in accordance with Hazchem protocols.

Make sure personal protective equipment (PPE) is used appropriately.

Report car problems, accidents, or delays right away.

Keep the car clean and roadworthy.

Minimum Conditions

A valid driver’s license with Code 10 (C1)

Dangerous Goods Permit (DGP) in effect

Hazchem certification for handling hazardous materials

At least two to three years of driving experience, ideally with hazardous materials

Strong familiarity with transportation laws and road safety

Proficiency in reading and comprehending safety documentation, such as MSDS
