We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented boilermaker to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be in charge of the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of tanks and pressure vessels in accordance with detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
This position requires strong metal fabrication skills, the ability to accurately interpret technical drawings, and a dedication to upholding high safety and quality standards in a demanding industrial environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair pressure vessels.
Interpret and work with detailed engineering drawings and blueprints.
Cut, roll, bend, and shape metal plates and structural components.
Perform welding and metal joining processes as needed.
Perform inspections to ensure structural integrity and quality compliance.
Maintain the fabrication tools and equipment in good working order.
Make sure that every task is finished in compliance with occupational health and safety laws.
Assist with on-site installations and maintenance as needed.
Identify and report any defects or inconsistencies in materials or workmanship.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Conditions
Relevant technical training or a trade certification in welding or boilermaking
competence in metal fabrication and tank construction
Proficiency in reading and analyzing technical drawings
familiarity with industry safety regulations and practices
Strong physical endurance and the capacity to operate in industrial settings
Excellent workmanship and attention to detail
