Are you a qualified Mine Environmental Control MEO certificate holder with solid underground mining experience?
We’re looking for a Sectional Ventilation Officer to join our team for 12-month contract .
Key responsibilities:
• Conduct underground ventilation surveys, airflow measurements, gas sampling, and thermal stress assessments.
• Monitor/report on ventilation/environmental conditions and recommend corrective actions if required.
• Ensure/maintain the integrity of the ventilation controls such as regulators, doors, brattices, and auxiliary fans on a daily basis.
• Support mine planning by providing input on ventilation design for new development. • Ensure com liance with the Mine Health and Safe Act and related re ulations.
• Assist with emergency preparedness related to ventilation, including fire and gas leaks/exposures.
• Compile statutory ventilation reports and submit them to relevant authorities.
• Assist with ventilation layouts and planning
• Lead and support ventilation personnel What
We’re Looking For:
• Certificate in Mine Environmental Control
• Diploma or Degree in Mining, Hygiene or related field
• 5+ years’ underground / trackless mining experience
• Experience as MHSA 12.1 appointee
• Member of the Mine Ventilation Society
• Strong computer skills (MS Office essential; simulation software a plus)
